I had a great early morning sunrise hike. Pretty chilly this time of year. The hills were perfect for high intensity interval cardio.

It's a nice, moderate hike to do any time of the year. A lot of mountain bikers use this trail. There were a ton of tarantulas and potato bugs out today (10/21), so watch your step.

This is a great trail. a small climb up to the Bonneville shoreline trail then it really evens out for a while while meanders the contour of the ancient Lakeshore. I took slightly different track to the point below the peaks and get back up on a trail along the peak face. I like this trail because of the sweeping views of downtown and the valley.

Great easy trail, make sure to do this one during the golden hour. The hills are beautiful as the sun sets.

Lots of mountain bikers - need to come back to bike it. Lots of rocks, but good for balance! Great uphill hike. Beautiful views! Did in 50 minutes.

Easy to moderate hike. It took me 45 minutes to hike it to the end of the trail. Yes, there is some loose gravel but nothing too crazy. The views are great. This is a great hike if you are visiting the city and have a few spare hours.

great hike with good views of the city. I even ended up running most of the trail down. great workout

Love this hike a lot. Just be careful because toward the end there are steep hills with loose gravel. ALSO it’s easy to get on the wrong path with the trails that meet with it so I would have this handy dandy map out.

pretty easy, quick hike. Really beautiful views of the city. There is a lot of loose gravel is some of the "peaks". The rest is pretty much dirt. Would definitely do it again.

Fun and beautiful hike, but it was pretty hard and the steepest part is at the end. Definitely took more than an hour.

A great quick morning hike that'll get your heart pumping. Lots of runners and bikers around here and very dog friendly

Awesome quick but strenuous hike. I got up to the peaks in about an hour. Fantastic views all around and below to the city.

Awesome hike with a gradual, not too strenuous, incline on the way up. Great scenery and views of the city. Mountain bikers use the trail as well so be aware and courteous along the trail.

Lovely! Perfect morning hike!

Great shorter hike! It’s pretty much straight up the entire way, but it’s worth it for the views of the city. Dog friendly too!

Windy all the time, close to city, give it a try...

Great hike for weeknights - close to town, just challenging enough to work up a sweat, and amazing views.

Lovely trail, so close to home but when you get up there, you feel so far away. Perfect for dog walking. The upper route also has a lot less mountain bike traffic.

No snow, no mud. The ridge can get windy.

took my pups up during a storm, beautiful views, trail easily disappears during thr winter so its easy to get turned around in the evening hours but still a great hike.

it's really windy don't wear baseball caps. took my two chihuahuas they did surprisingly well. great for most age groups. easy to spend 2 hours without realizing it so make sure you bring water.

Great hike with full views of the valley. A little muddy this time of year from the melted snow, but nothing to worry about. Great for dogs as well.

I found this to be an enjoyable hike. Though you gain a bit of elevation, the fact you go up and down about 4 to 5 small hills before getting to the twin peaks made it less intense for me (even compared to switchbacks, which this trail doesn't have). We pansied out before the last peak. We only went up to the first peak, so we will have to come back someday to do the second peak. To add... this is our first time doing this trail- the trail had snowy sections, some slightly muddy sections and clear (packed mud with some loose stones) sections. I feel the snow actually made the hike a little easier going up and down some of the hills. I guess when it's not snowy, these paths may have more pebbles and rocks which could make it a bit harder to walk up and down. The good thing with the snow on the path this day was in most places it was packed down or powder, there were very few sections that were slippery, and only near the beginning of the trail did I notice ice... so that made it very enjoyable! (The entire journey took 3 hours - 1.5 hr up, and 1.5 hr back.. but I am a slow hiker....)

Somebody spilled m-and-ms on the first of the two peaks so if you're walking with dogs, watch out. Other than that, this is a challenging short trail with great views of the city and the mountains to the north. Worth it.
