Nice short hike with beautiful views of the canyon walls.

The trail is pretty narrow and not too difficult. I think the only thing that makes this a moderate trail would be the elevation change. The trail parking lot doubles as a bus stop for the ski resorts so there were some people just sitting in their cars. This isn’t a problem but as a female that often hikes solo it’s just good to know in advance. There are climbing routes along the trail as well so it wasn’t uncommon to hear people talking before you would see them. It was a good quick hike but not sure I would do it again. Nothing overly impressive about it.

Gorgeous trail right at the mouth of Little Cottonwood Canyon. We went this morning around 8:30am, and the temps were delightful and the views excellent. We went clock-wise, starting the hike on the west end of the parking lot. I think if we had to do it again, we’d go counterclockwise and start on the east side of the parking lot. Then the views of the valley could be the climax of the hike. The kids (15,12,10) loved this hike and enjoyed seeing climbers tackling the various routes like Bong Eaters Buttress and Mexican Crack. The leaves are starting to change ever so slightly!

We did this hike in the evening and it was beautiful. A very family friendly hike. I would definitely do it again!

I would say this hike is more on the easy side instead of intermediate. Beautiful wild flowers. We went in the evening and there was some good shade

Level trails that follows where an old aqueduct/canal was built. The trail is flat and easy. There are several side trails and it also connects with the Alpenbock Loop trail at the half point and the western end

easy to moderate trail that follows the path of an old pipeline that no longer exists. In the winter views of the canyon are less obstructed.
