After a short distance the trail descends steeply for around 1.5 miles and 1,000 ft, the trail flattens out until you get to a dry, sandy gravel river bed which you follow until you get to the Moses & Zeus Trail

Much of the first part of this trail is poorly marked and occasionally dangerous.

Should definitely be rated difficult - not moderate. The descent is very steep and much of the trail has been knocked out by rock slides though people have since put cairns in to help guide (just the footing is tough). Despite that the views from the valley floor at spectacular- both up the 1,500 rock faces and around at the geological layers, incredible diversity of rocks in the wash, and at the surprising diversity of plant and animal life all around. Much of the hike is in the wash which is an amazing feeling too as the size and shape of the walls of the wash vary dramatically. We were the ONLY people on this trail so you really get the feeling of wilderness - so rare in many national parks - as you explore

This trail should be rated as difficult because in the winter time the snow makes the steep descent into the canyon super sketchy. This trail is awesome though and I’d totally recommend it to anyone in canyonlands. Only saw 2 people the whole time.

Down into the Canyon and then back up. Beautiful!

I would rate as difficult as you must climb out the canyon. Absolutely gorgeous hike , didn't see anyone at all on the Saturday over Memorial Day weekend. A surprising amount of life! Amazing views.

Not the easiest wander. 1300 drop-which means after 10 Miles you have a 1300 climb out. But , honestly, worth it. Lizards, birds, cactus. A great way to see the south without the crowds of arches.
