Hike from the parking lot to the Wyler Aerial Tramway Deck and Ranger Peak. From the trailhead start climbing up. Follow the trail until you reach the ridgeline at 0.88 miles. At this point the Directissimo Trail joins the Ridgeline Trail #1 to the Tramway Platform. At 1.00 miles you will reach the B-36 overlook. If you look down the mountain to the west you will see parts of a B-36 crash site from 1953. See the FMSP-B36 hike for more info. From this point the trail switch-backs up another 0.75 miles to the Wyler aerial tramway Platform on Ranger Peak. If you bought tickets for the ride down, catch the tram down when you are ready. Or hike down for free on the same trail - reverse route.

Hiking the Wyler Aerial Tramway trails was fun. It is very steep and portions of the trail have easy rock climbing/scrambling experiences that make these trails fun and adventurous. I took my wife and two kids on this trail that are beginners to hiking. Take lots of water because there is no shade and you will sweat. I carried a small bag with a extra gallon of water and snacks. my family had a good time and felt a feeling of accomplishment when we reached the top. Then on the way down the mountain we rode the Aerial Tram to relax on the way down. Top of the mountain had a gift shop. We took the Directissimo trail, Jackaloop trail and then finally the Ranker peak trail for approximately 1.4 miles.
