Honestly didn’t even go you had to go online to reserve a spot to even go hiking a few days in advance and the time slots to be there were only for 3 hours at a time

Very nice trail. No major climbs or descents. The trail was moist today. Wolf Mtn Trail is a wide graded trail.

Trail was well maintained and fairly easy. Good trail to take dogs or family on. Gave it two stars due to scenery. Just wasn't as good as some other trails in that regard.

Access from the Madrone Trailhead. Entrance Permit is required. The park has limited passes, so reserve online. The Wolf Mountain Loop Trail offers an out and back to a loop around Wolf Mountain. From the loop, you will find great views of the river and Hill Country. This trail crosses 3 creeks, which are dry most of the year. There is a pit toilet about 2 miles from the trailhead. Nearly the entire trail is a wide non-paved road. Shade is very limited. Though this is not a technical ride/hike, it will wear you out on a hot day. This trail also connects to the Jones Spring Trail.

I hiked at total of 8 miles around Wolf Mountain trail at Pedernales Falls State Park! Though it was a chilly December afternoon, I thoroughly enjoyed my hike as it was peaceful! The scenery was gorgeous and I will be coming back to hike other trails!

Great trail. Super fun easy to follow, just keep an eye on the app when you get to the few crossroads. Wolf mountain section is mostly unshaded gravel road, but the juniper section is all in trees and shade. Somewhat rocky, but never precarious, and relatively flat. Did 12 miles in about 4 hours and wasn’t pushing too hard. Great trail!

It was a lot more difficult after a tough year. Our meditation spot was in Narnia. But we’ll definitely be back for our second anniversary.

Today we’re gonna talk about Wolf Mountain Trail. This well-maintained mountain bike trail Is located inside Pedernales Falls State Park (in Blanco County) but it’s broad enough to accommodate hikers. You can stride out up to 7.4 miles and your hike is punctuated by seasonal creeks and river overlooks. Slight inclines with changeable footing and some shade. Check the parks website for prevailing conditions and remember to hydrate yourself and your canine friends. http://tpwd.texas.gov/state-parks/pedernales-falls Your route can be up to 3 hrs+. Day passes are available from reserveamerica.com http://reserveamerica.com

Good trail. Lot of it was like a service road but that’s okay for me. Hit turned around and walked down a dry creek bed for a while but still fun. Decent views of hills in the distance from several spots. Park map said 5.8 mi but my AllTrails recording said 8.1 mi. I did head off trail for a nature break but still a major difference. Would recommend this trail.

Nice easy hike, some good light elevation changes as you hit different creeks along the path. Intermittent tree cover so don’t forget your sunscreen!

It was a pretty easy hike. Most of the trail was wide rock/gravel road. On our way back we heard coyotes. There had been a lot of rain the day before but this trail was still quite navigable.
