Great trail for small kids. It took us about an hour with a 3 year old.

This was a short and easy trail. It was nice to get out and just be in the trees. If you are in the area it’s worth a stop.

Loved seeing the natural Spring. Found a nice quiet place to hammock a while and end the day. Lovely, easy trail.

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed hiking this trail. Great signage and historical facts. Even though it has a little elevation gain it was an easy trail to hike. We like the tall Pines and the open woods underneath the canopy. We could see a long ways

Not a super long trail, I only live an hour down the road otherwise it wouldnt be worth the drive. The waterfall is pretty. Its small but larger than expected. They have informative signs everywhere to engage you. Definitely well kept and a fun little loop. My dog had a blast. Its a family trail. A few bridges to cross.

Trail is awesome especially in the fall. However the all trails map does not seem to be accurate.

Very nice trail and an easy trail to start with. This trail is historical and definitely something you won’t want to miss if you go to the tyler state park.

The wading pool is stagnant water so isn’t useful for wading now.

I would rate this trail as Moderate difficulty because I like to start the loop clockwise at the group camping trailhead at the bottom of this trail instead of starting at the high point near park headquarters. You will climb 115 feet doing it this way going up step after step. Interpretive signs along the way to point out various trees and other features created by the CCC. The "downhill" side of the loop goes by a wading pool, a really nice waterfall and crosses the creek a few times. A great workout and great practice for hiking harder trails in other areas such as Enchanted Rock or even Big Bend.

Trail is a nice and quick loop from the top of the state park to the bottom. Signs indicate areas of interest regarding CCC history.
