This loop made for an awesome hike on Friday June 19 2020. The trail was nicely kept, not very overgrown at all. I love being surrounded by trees and brush but my hiking partner's only complaint was that there weren't hardly any good vistas or open viewing points, except at the pond. i loved the hike. Creeks are all dried out right now which is a little disappointing but that also meant very few bugs. We sprayed ourselves with deep woods off and didn't see any mosquitos at all, one horsefly but it wouldn't land on us. We arrived at nearly 8am and were out by 10. Weather was gorgeous but definitely got hot towards the end of the loop. All in all a fairly easy trail with few moderate stairs and dry creek crossings.

If you like secluded, well-marked trails that offer some up and down terrain and changes in foliage, I would highly recommend this one. It offers a little bit of everything - a forest full of various trees, moss, ferns, wild flowers, mushrooms, spores. I agree with other posts that steps are well placed and the trail is well maintained - vines and weeds do come out into the trail in places. I would recommend wearing hiking pants and using a trekking pole. The only thing that kept me from rating this 5 stars was there was no moving water. The water in the creeks was still and I appreciate when it is flowing. I can see myself doing this one again.

This is a nice trail for people looking to hike a slightly more difficult terrain.

The trail is in good shape. It’s well maintained. There are lots of logs down but they are small enough to step over. The path into and out of dry creeks are very well maintained with steps when it makes sense. It was super hot but thankfully no bugs! Great walk, but it’s basically a walk in the woods. Other than a quick look at “little lake” there really are no vistas.

So many spiders! It’s a great trail but not for running right now. I can’t count the number of spiderwebs I ran into and face planted. I would say hike this with a stick in front of you. Otherwise it was lovely.

Extremely muddy (it has been a wet month though), but otherwise great hike.

Nice trail. Took GSD And two adolescents. No problems. Don’t wear shoes you like. Quite a few trees down on paths but easy to deal with.

Great trail! First half open forest, second half tall trees, walking along Creekbank was nice.

A nice little trail. It was a great overcast day for our hike and a good test of the new backpacks. If only it had some real hills it'd be great. The Little Lake is a good destination and stopping place for a bite to eat! (Though there is some discussion on whether it's a Lake or a Pond)
