There's a Butterfly Garden about 1/4mi in with a group seating deck. There's a picnic table and pit toilet near the trail head. There also park benches along the trial. The trail parallels a creak that flows toward Katy Lake. The trail itself is mostly gravel and concrete however there are sections that get coated with mud after a good rain and those sections can be really slick.
