Great Blue Heron and Hawkeye Trails Loop is a 2.7 mile moderately trafficked loop trail located near Roanoke, Texas that features a river and is good for all skill levels. The trail is primarily used for hiking, walking, running, and nature trips and is accessible year-round. Dogs are also able to use this trail but must be kept on leash.

Closed as the others stated, unless you don't mind crossing the water and getting a little wet. Rather overgrown on the loop section beyond where the water crossing is, they aren't able to get over there to mow. This just means isolation and a scenic stroll if you don't mind a little water.

the major portion of the trail is closed today

Nice trail with variety of fun. Trees, open areas, creek crossings (2). Overall is the trail is in nice shape, but there are some overgrown areas just south of the boulder creek crossing. There are also some intersecting trails allowing additional exploration.
