Took the bike trail just outside. Went as fast as possible until we found the road flooded and muddy.

This is a beautiful place to quickly get some pretty scenery. This area was an illegal construction dumpsite for years before being cleaned up and sculpted into a wetland preserve. Great escape 15 minutes from downtown Dallas. It will only take 45 minutes to an hour to walk through but we were able to see two white-tailed deer feeding.

Nice for a afternoon light walk. Went in early February so not much to see. Though it’s in nature there is a lot of evidence of human activity. Platform trails, bridges, built up and framed gravel trails with benches spread through out the center.
