Nice, quiet trail for biking. There are some bodies of water to look at while riding. You can see the golf trail all around. During our ride today after heavy rain this past week, found several large pools of water, which made the trail muddy in some parts. We could not finish trail because part of it was completely submerged (not passable). However, we did enjoy seeing large grasshoppers, beautiful butterflies and trees along the trail. Kendra and Chris!

Very pretty trail. Didn’t really see anyone else on the trails, exact a couple of golfers. Make sure to walk the whole thing. You won’t be disappointed.

Very well-kept trails for biking and walking. Make sure to go to the end of the trail near the water, it's a gorgeous view. Start to finish is about an hour with a little break near the water.

Beautiful walk! Worth it to reach the end of the trail for the sight of the lake. I would highly recommend to friends and family!

I love this trail!! Not highly trafficked, clean restrooms, great views of the lake and you see lots of wildlife...birds, rabbits, cayotes.

Easy and fun walk. Nice open and wooded areas. Few areas close to water for photo ops. Well manicured trail with 1/4 mike posts, benches and trash cans.

It's worth visiting once you get past the golf course. Walking by a golf course isn't as relaxing as a nature trail should be. But after the course it's very peaceful and reaching the lake is a nice moment.

Nice and easy all the way!!

This is an easy hike through low-lying vegetation and a golf course. The trail is well maintained with crushed gravel and is wide enough for multiple people, strollers, bikes. There are a variety of birds among the trees. There is not much shade on the trail. There are ample garbage and recycling bins and some signs explaining the area.
However, if you are looking for an experience of getting away from the feeling of being in a city, this might not be for you. Because the trail starts at a golf course, it is highly manicured and you need to dodge golf carts. Also, it is located on the busy DFW airport flight path. And, although you only see the lake at the very tip of the trail, you can be surrounded by loud water craft (especially on warm days).

This is really just a golf course with a "trail" around it.

Nothing here was particularly scenic. The lake is actually pretty disappointing, as it's fully man made and looks like a mud hole they dug for the WPA. It's a nice distance and pretty open, but it's nothing special. The picture in this post is most definitely NOT of this hike and the muddy brown lake nearby.

Took wife, boy (9), girl (8), and dog full loop. All enjoyed. Would recommend to others. May feel long for those not used to 4+ mile walks but very nice trail.

I loved this trail! It's longer for a good run. The trail is wide enough for a jogging stroller.

Very easy walk...the trail is smooth and easy to navigate. only disruption are the golf carts that share part of the trail at the beginning. Go on a slower golf day and it won't be a blip....

The Tribute Shoreline Nature Trail is truly one of the most unique trails in all of the DFW metroplex. Once you get past the Old American Golf Club practice facilities and farther on the peninsula, you feel like you're in a National Park. It's so peaceful and beautiful, and always changing with the season for a 'fresh' look every time you're out there. There's also interpretive signage along the way - great teaching opportunities for all ages. Includes benches, trash cans and even picnic tables at the tip of the peninsula with an incredible view of the lake!
