Didn’t get to the trail. Directions lead you to a neighborhood so no public parking. Nice homes though but I think this trail is honestly for people in the neighborhood and not for the public.

Nice trail....It is connected to another park area where you can walk around a circle, track-like area. Upon entering the trail from here looks ominous as there is a patch of dry brush. But using the map on the app, I was able to navigate through the trail. Some complained about it flowing through a residential neighborhood. But, as a single female walking alone, it made me feel safer. BEAUTIFUL HOMES to see. So, there may not be 100% nature, but the views are really nice, still.

Very nice trail. I read below comments that the map was incorrect. Luckily, I found this trail by accident. Paved trail along with river and surrounded with nice neighborhoods.

If you're looking for an architectural scenery then this would be for you. The first half of the trail has you walking through neighborhoods. The other half of the trail leads you behind some of the homes as you follow along a brook. The trail isn't marked really clearly. Following along the app helped a great deal. Otherwise it was an enjoyable experience. Really beautiful.

The trail map is not accurate. It is an out and back. Go to Plano Parks website to get a PDF of trail map. Park at Sunset park just off Midway Road.

Way to much neighborhood walking for my liking. Beautiful homes but I’m looking for nature

So i drove to were the GPS told me to. When I got to a neighborhood that had no public parking I was disappointed. I drove to Parr Library for public parking. Then I walked from the library to the closest part of the trail, did the trail, and then had to walk back to the library. I did 4.7 miles in all. Also only a small part of the trail is technically the Shady Brook Trail. The majority of the time you will be walking on sidewalks that are in peoples' front yards, back yards, and even side yards. The only plus I have for this was that at least I was walking through safe neighborhoods that had nice houses. Oh, and at one point I passed a neighborhood pond, and a swan swam along side me while I walked the trail. I just was really let down with the deception of this being "a trail".

Horrible. Data to get there was wrong. The public parking is by the plano public library. the GPS takes you to a neighborhood without parking. I got frustrated after turning around so many times, I just went to arbor hills nature preserve instead.

Beautiful fully paved walk along a brook! We enjoyed the 'nature-y' parts of the walk, but it does go through some neighborhoods.

Very urban trail with light traffic. Couple nice fountains but mostly houses. Also the trail is not marked well.

This is a nice paved trail, 3 stars because it gets close to residents back yard and it’s hard to find a place to park. The treescape is beautiful, however, and has one moderately stout elevation change as it applies to paved walking paths in the northern suburbs. The trail bridges up about 75 ft through the tree canopy, beautiful. Houses are further back in this section as well.

It's beautiful but there is some construction on the trail with detours so I got lost in the neighborhood. You really need the map on your phone to help navigate.

This trail is pretty nice. It partially goes through high end neighborhoods that have extremely exotic homes to look at; one wonders what the ppl do for a living to afford the homes. The rest of the trail goes alone cemented wooded trails which at times have running creeks.
