We loved it! It was humid so good workout. A lot of greenery. We veered off by the river but got back on track. Bringing dog next time.

WalkingGreat!

A nice, flat trail with few roots or large rocks sticking out. If you start at the trail past the restrooms, where there’s a booth with a few maps, start at your right. The path is initially 5-6 people wide. We saw just three people (it’s a Tuesday afternoon). Walking past the last campsite, it does narrow down to 2 people wide. We saw no poison ivy along the trail. Note: don’t take the loop and don’t hike up the trail - stay on the river and the wooded path cradling the river. If you go up it’s flat, treeless, and the path is littered with ant hills. Overall, a very pleasant hike.

Solid trail, get there early as parking goes quick. The trail signs are down in some places, the park map or All Trails aids the journey for sure.

Beautiful sunny day - lots of accessible diversions from the trail, including down to river. Pretty busy today but distancing not a problem.

Nice hike. Some shade, but long stretches in the sun. Water low right now and grass high on side trails that lead to the water. Never found the falls. Make sure you have plenty of water.

Very easy almost flat. Great for all ages. Swimming holes are fairly easy to access however you would not want to spend much time hanging out the ground at the river side was mainly stinky mud.

This was a groomed, easy trail until you reach the foothills. I really enjoy getting into the hills part because it is more primitive trails and shady for the most part. This trail has lots of sun! The reason i gave this a 3 is because it takes so long to get to the foothills in the trees (mostly in the sun!), i would say at least a mile before hitting the foot of the hills. Oh! I only hiked 4 miles before turning back. Good hike, good workout!
