Went to run down the San Gabriel Trail- but there was a sign which said it was closed for maintenance. So instead I turned around and just made four loops around San Gabriel Park. It's a nice gravel trail. Green grass, nice trees dot the landscape. Some picnic tables and playgrounds. A nice river with ducks on the one side, the other side has ball fields and even something which looks like a rodeo place. It's a nice neighborhood friendly park. For running, you do often comer across people taking up the whole trail, or with kids, etc. and you gotta run way around, slow down or stop, etc. But so far, it hasn't taken away from the running experience.

A nice gravel trail in the heart of Georgetown. We went on a Sundat afternoon and did 2 rounds. Giant Acorns!! Collected some acorns on our 2nd trip around. There's a cool bridge with some tame geese. Lots of families came in towards the end to BBQ and play with their kiddos. There's also a Disc Golf course, playgrounds and restrooms. It was a good walk. Not challenging other than the self imposed distance.

Very nice city park with sports field, frisbee golf, fishing spots in the river, play grounds and restrooms, etc. It doesn't have that "new park" look, shiny and metal and plastic; it's more a place you could play plenty of sports as well as have bbqs. But as for the trail and trail running:

The trail itself is 99% crushed gravel. It crosses the very unbusy park street a few times. No ups and downs, no hills, no creek crossings: this is a city park trail. Very good for when you need to rest your feet from the rocky/rooty trails. But it can get crowded sometimes. Come on a Sat morning, or a day off school, and there'll be plenty of joggers, parties, strollers and four legged friends.

What I did was run on the trail itself a few times, but then I made up my own loop, basically running right by the river, down the concrete path to the street by the soccer field, then around through the trees behind the sports fields, through the frisbee golf course, and under the overpass. Basically I just wanted to run on the grass and next to the water and such. it's an open park, no one cares if you're running on the grass and such.

I give this a three for trail running in specific. But it is a nice trail for all city, family friendly purposes, and is near the pickett trail which has some actual "outdoor" feel to it.

Nice gravel path. Nice views of the lake. One section has lots of sun. Take a hat. Facilities along the way. Not any actual hiking. Just walking.

There was some construction on the trail and it was closed. We had to walk off-trail some to make our way back.

Trail was muddy and slick from the recent rain.

Wide gravel path, well maintained. Local trail good for joggers, but I prefer more nature-adventure hikes.

Circled around a park. Not crowded unless there is a softball or soccer game.. Open, spacious, not lengthy. Good for a quick workout. Easy run.
