Fun trail that goes down by the river! Very easy. We brought our small dog and she was fine. There’s also some areas to boulder.

Had I known this was such a beautiful area I would have made an effort to come here before. Trails are not well marked although the destination is easy to see sometimes we were unsure how to get there. Some parts of the trail were very narrow.

Overall, a great hike. I thought it was just an overlook, but we climb down to the river, and climbed around the rocks. Very fun, like a maze.

Pedernales is such a quintessential outdoor experience if you are in Austin. It’s a must-see that’s just a short drive away. The falls are a short half-mile hike down from the trailhead down a path and stone staircase, easy for most folks. Beautiful views all around of the falls and surrounding Hill Country. If you have more time, you can also add in some other hikes in the park, which are also excellent.

It was a short hike. And a small stream and little fall. we were there when it was cloudy today but since little water and no shade, for hot sunny days prepare with some caps or even an umbrella. we liked it and would also book for hamilton pool which is very close..... if you wanted more adventure,i have climbed throught the rocks and went all the way towards other side where you can get a better view. I have reserved a ticket earlier online. When I reached there, no one seems to check the ticket. Or I am not sure if we have to get the ticket in the office. I have noticed that the kiosk is down.

I had seen the pictures of the falls and thought they looked cool but they really don't even come close to showing how beautiful they are. My fiancé and I explored around and just sat down and looked around at parts. Extraordinarily beautiful.

We loved this trail! Easy hike down. Lots of climbing on the rocks for the kids. In this particular spot there is no wading, but so much to see and climb on it didn’t matter. There is also a lovely sand beach to just relax on. Must see in Austin. We can’t wait to go back!

Pretty easy path to walk, with some slight elevation on your way back. Be careful, especially with your animals. We were there around dusk and came across a swift fox in our path. He eventually went on his way and didn't bother us. Beautiful scenery when you get to the falls overlook.

I did the Perdernales Falls Trail with a #20 ruck on. Beautiful but not well marked. Just followed the sounds of the river :). Stopped several times to take lots of pics and just relax. It was on a Sunday in February but was 72 degrees so perfect weather for a short hike!

Wide chat trail to an overlook of the river. Steps lead down from the overlook to the river where there are several beautiful rock formations. Very busy trail but worth braving the crowds.

Easy walk, watch for snakes when hiking. View of river, falls is fantastic! Getting down in river bed for a close view of rock formations was well worth the effort. Saw an natural spring flowing out of the ground.

Great views of the rocky river canyon with access to the springs and streams of water down below. Continue down from the overlook to the crystal clear waters and impressive views from within the canyon. The kids loved exploring the shallow water and netting minnows.
