Lovely trail with views of the river and connects to Ameritrail. Two areas were very active with birdsongs and some beautiful cypress knees. It was busy the weekend we went with optimal weather but not so busy we felt crowded. Will be back.

HikingGreat!

Lovely mellow walk through the woods with views of Peach Creek along the way. After joining the Ameritrail, the route crosses a power line and a couple gas pipeline right of ways. Possible to extend the full 8 mile RT Ameritrail. Alltrails route ends near a lovely pond lined by relatively large bald cypress trees with a profusion of cypress knees and dwarf palmettos.

Checked this trail off my list yesterday! Beautiful park! Not very busy on the trail, but did run across a few bikers and gorgeous pups....and a snake! I will definitely be back to this trail.

Nicely maintained, dog friendly, has a creek, very shady which is nice in Texas heat. Nice leisurely walk in the woods.

Nice hike. It was only 3.5 miles though to do the north and south trail vs. 4.2.
