08’ Range Rover Sport: Good warmup trail and great view at the end, but I would rate it Moderate once you get to the “gap”. It gets pretty narrow and rocky but I made it out scratch-free.

This is written for persons interested in off-road driving. This is a 4 mile, true desert road. The drive gets rough after passing a gap in the hills. There's the reward of seeing the ruins of a ranch at the end of the trail. If you see whitewash on the cliffs, it's vulture scat from a large colony of birds. I completed this trail right after doing Grapevine, they are very close together, this is the one to do! Distance 4.6 miles

Nice beginner trail. Actual first ride with no problems. Saw a bunny and mule deer running across the trail.

This short drive takes you to an early ranching effort in the Big Bend. Remnants of stock pens, a water well and trough still exist at this site. The first couple of miles off the main highway can be driven with a passenger car. However, the road gets narrow and rocky as you go into the Paint Gap. You will get desert striping (scratches) on the last mile and a half.
