It's overgrown and there are some muddy patches, but it still makes for an exhilarating (although short) hike!

Pretty grown over right now, probably all the rain we’ve had.

This trail is in Corpus Christi, not Big Bend State Park as stated in the list.

The only off road bike trail in the Corpus Christi area. Well maintained by volunteers. Some cool added features to ride. There is a Monday PM group ride almost year round. See or call Bay Area Cycles for schedule. I ride here about once a month on average and am very great full this park is available.

It's the closest thing Corpus Christi has to a wildlife/wilderness trail and I use it all the time to try out my backpacking gear, be among nature, etc. Don't freak out by the labyrinth of trails. You can pretty much follow the power lines to find an exit somewhere. The trails are mostly maintained by volutneers, can get overgrown at times. Chiggers are real bad in Spring and Summer. I only gave four stars because I wish this park was bigger with even more trails and that camping was allowed.
