This trail starts partway up the trail to the Summit of Enchanted Rock. You will hike and climb down through rock falls and trees eventually ending up behind the Rock and hiking near the primitive camping areas. There are facilities along the way that hikers can use if Mother Nature calls. You will also pass by the lake which teems with life.

We got lost multiple times on this trail because the markings are not easy to find. We never found the end of this trail but we still had fun getting lost in the beautiful State Park.

Small parts of this trail could be the most difficult within the park for some to get through as your going over and around rocks, small boulders, and flat slabs. For most, this will be no problem as it is easy scrambling. We went during the first part of November and a section of this trail was colorful. We did this trail as part of a loop around Enchanted Rock also using Base Trail and Turkey Pass Trail.

This allows access to some of the best crack climbs in Texas at the Triple Crack area just below the main dome. Fun for just a hike, as well.

Great experience. markers were slightly hard to follow the first time, but this is a hike I do regularly so now it is second nature.

Moderate hike (due to negotiating boulders) through the canyon SW of Enchanted Rock. Markers are somewhat difficult to follow. Keep your eyes open and take your time. Wildlife and flower viewing is good. Views of Enchanted Rock (and surrounding peaks). Take plenty of water and have proper footwear.

We did that trailer after going to the summit first.
The trail is nice, but the markings are quite bad.

I would recommend good shoes as you should always wear and plenty of water.

It is probably a medium hike while I personal felt that it was quite easy.
