Missions San Jose-San Juan is a 6.5 mile out and back trail located near San Antonio, Texas and is good for all skill levels. The trail is primarily used for hiking and mountain biking and is accessible year-round. Dogs are also able to use this trail.
Spanish missions, San Antonio River hike & bike trail, nature trail, dam & acequia Exit park museum/headquarters at Mission San Jose y San Miguel de Aguayo (Mission San Jose). Walk parkway. Cross Padre Dr to hike & bike sidewalk, cross 2 foot bridges, follow San Antonio River south to Espada Park, where old dam diverts River into acequia irrigation ditch, Mission Burial Park, pass new dam and 2 foot bridges, new & old bridges over San Antonio River, pass Berg Mill ruins, enter Mission San Francisco de la Espada complex & follow nature trail behind the Mission, return to Mission San Jose. Not recommended for night walking, due to remoteness of areas of the trail and low economic conditions. Site of daily volkmarch YRE walk. Walk box at Rangers' desk in museum.

I am amazed by the amount of work and money that has been spent on the trail systems in San Antonio. Definitely a World Class Town.
Right now it's all main surface roads because of construction but the missions are fun to visit.
