Great trail. A little hard to find the start to get to the canyon. You have to follow the signs for rock climbing and that will take you down to the river. So beautiful!

Beautiful trail that leads down to the Pedernales River. There is a little bit of rock scrambling a couple of places on the trail, but well worth it. I forgot to turn off my hike when we finished so there is an extra 1’9 miles of driving. Great short hike!

Lovely and great views and environment. Trail was not marked clearly and got confused a few times.

My wife and I had a beautiful Sunday hike out at Reimer’s ranch. It’s beautiful time of year and the trail is very well maintained.

Great hike! We went with our kids (ages 7, 3 and infant) and everyone enjoyed it. The landscape is great and a wonderful example of the hill country. Be aware that the section by the climbing is a bit challenging for small kids - we had to carry the 3 YO for many portions.

Didn’t get to hike too far as I went after work ... will be coming back for sure to hike and rock climb. This is one of my favorites thus far in the Austin area....no traffic noise. Trails are nice and looking forward to coming back.

Goeorgous hike with a lot of different types of topography. A rattlesnake did cross our path so be careful.

Gorgeous nature walk. Lots of birds. If you want to see what hill country really looks like, this is a classic sample. Enjoy it.

MOST DEFINITELY MODERATE; NOT AN EASY TRAIL. Stunning trail, especially the initial canyon descent. Several treacherous parts in the climb down into the canyon, but it was just gorgeous. The part by the river was beautiful as well, and even the easy trail above the ridge was spectacular. Great trail.

Great trail...especially climber’s canyon. Docking one star since most of the trail is without shade and extremely hot.

Hiked the lower river trail with my 3.5 yo son. started at the first parking lot - Cavers Canyon. This part was a tricky for my son but we managed down. Great confidence booster but could be dangerous. Wish i had a helmet for him in case he fell. the hike leads to a little grotto and then out to the river. there is some rocks that needs to be scrambled over on the first part of the river portion. Hiked to the river access and then took the stairs up and took the paved upper portion back to our parking. The higher portion is very sunny. Had to carry my son back that last bit.
