Memorial Park Orange Trail is a 2 mile moderately trafficked loop trail located near Houston, Texas that features a river and is good for all skill levels. The trail offers a number of activity options and is accessible year-round. Dogs are also able to use this trail but must be kept on leash.
It's one of the few places that have dirt trails in the woods in Houston! There is construction going on at Memorial park. It was a little confusing. The purple trail changed a little bit. They got rid of a little section and added a curvey trail for mountain bikers, which looked very fun. The bikers were very friendly. They were making sounds at corners to notify hikers and they would also tell you how many were coming behind them.
Mostly dry. Fun to run then loop back to the new purple shout out.
A little crowded for covid times on Sunday morning but otherwise very nice! Watch for bikers! There are a lot of those
one of the best trails in inner loop Houston, if not the best. My German Shepherd loved it.
This map is okay but a little off. Maybe it was done before Harvey. Also, it’s not really “the Orange Trail” only. In fact, it is not possible to get to the orange trail without utilizing the purple and/or blue trails. The mosquitos were really bad today so I was unable to accurately record a better map for my use but may try that when it gets a little cooler.
I couldn't stay on one color. Hit Purple, Blue, Orange and a bit of Red. Nothing paved. Lots of hills and rough terrain for a beginner such as myself but AWESOME!
