Access from the Madrone Trailhead. Entrance Permit is required. The park has limited passes, so reserve online. The Madrone section south of the road is windy, smooth, and fast (for bikers). Crossing the road to the North, either leg of Madrone will provide extended downhill sections - the western leg has a longer downhill and is more scenic. The Juniper Ridge section is very rocky and will challenge all but the most technical riders.
Nice trail overall. Mostly shaded. The trail is rocky for the majority. Trekking poles not necessary. Largely flat.
Nice, rocky path. Shaded most of the way but only crossed one creek which was disappointing for my dog. I went on a Tuesday morning and only encountered one other person.
