An excellent camping and hiking park not many in Brazoria County are aware of. Camp Mohawk County Park is a 53-acre day-use park with overnight facilities in a wooded setting along Chocolate Bayou between Angleton and Alvin. Natural attractions at Camp Mohawk include the only stand of native pine trees in Brazoria County, a guide for identifying tree species along the trails, bird watching and nature viewing, and fishing. Historically, the site was in use by area natives in the pre-European era, served as a training ground for Texas soldiers in 1861, and was a private meeting ground from 1930 until acquisition by the county in 2001. Camp Mohawk County Park is located on SH 35 about 8 miles south of Alvin, TX (just south of Chocolate Bayou bridge). Day use hours are 8 am - dusk.

Beautiful hike however it is very short. I'm not sure the loop even equates to a mile.

This trail is nice and relatively quick. It winds along with the chocolate bayou and provides several nice stops for scenery. I would suggest you visit in the late fall around October. You should also bring mosquito spray.
