Nice little local hike if you're from around or visiting town, and don't have the time to head off to one of the many state parks that are only a couple hours drive, or out to one of the National forests that are also nearby. There is work being done on the trail, and the north end of the trail between Austin St. and Stallings Loop is closed for repair (if you go out that way, you'll see a sign with the City Parks & Recreation number on it). I called, and they stated that that section is closed until further notice (this was approx. the last 1/2 to 1 mile section of it).

Really nice trail. Easy walk, you're within the city so it feels safe. Dogs are allowed on leashes and everyone we encountered with dogs followed the rule. Beautiful trees, some mud on trails, but very serene and peaceful. Will return!

Love this trail! VERY BEAUTIFUL! Lots of flowing water to walk/run beside! Can be rocky and has uplifted roots every now and then but still a very easy trail. Has a wooden stair case towards the end with green vines all around. Great place to take pictures as well. You don’t want to miss out on this one!!

The trail is open, but it is very muddy right now and you do need to watch your steps because of the tree roots. But it is a beautiful trail full of trees. I have enjoyed it very much.

Nice trail and super convenient if you’re in the area. A few odd spots where you have to go under or across roads. Loved the spot on campus with all the flowers and art!!!

Great hike! Did about 6 miles. Perfect day. Very well maintained. Beautiful plant life. Neat sculptures as well. Highly recommend for a short, pretty hike.

My wife and I hike this trail for our anniversary every year. We carved our initials in a tree the first time in 2009.

First hike for my wife (Crystal) and I with our dog (Cooper). Kept it short but definitely looking forward to more adventures and longer hikes.

trail is open, construction at starr is done. first 1/4 from South end is nice, watch for roots. the trail gets a little lost at college, the crossing is washed away so you stay on concrete path, Cross road then walk through SFA parking lot to the north end where you pick up trail again. side trails through arboretum on north end of trail that are nice and add another 2-3 tenths of a mile. asked some SFA workers at Park on north side, a bicycle rider and there is not an extension of the trail to ne Stallings, it end at Austin St. From South end to Austin and back 5.10 miles on Garmin F5 Sapphire. my all trails app went wonky and added 6 miles so not counted.

About a mile from the house, very easy trail for a daily warm-up.

This trail is as easy as it gets. Flat, well groomed and lots of trees. Add the extension after Austin Street to North Stallings for a few more miles.

A few rooted wash outs but otherwise it flows fast and smooth along the creek and is very pretty. Great trail considering it's in the middle of town. The middle section between E. Starr and E. Main is the the dirt trail. The north and south ends are paved walkways and do not offer anything for experienced riders other than a warm up or cool down area. Fun trail for kids that aren't ready to hammer out 20 miles.

Great little trail. Me and my kids go mountain biking here. I would consider it moderate in difficulty due to tree roots on the trail. It is fun nonetheless.
