Lake Jackson Wilderness Park is bordered by Buffalo Camp Bayou and the Brazos River bottom-land forest. It also parallels The Wilderness Golf Course, but you can only vaguely see the course during the hike. Primitive camping is allowed with approval, and there is one interpretive nature loop in the park. Other activities here include boating, fishing, picnicking, and bird-watching. The Gulf Coast Bird Observatory is just across the bayou from the entrance to Wilderness Park. Do not veer off onto any small paths that take you into the forest. These are not part of the parks trail system and it is best to stay on the marked trails.

It was alright. A few shady people back there and that kinda made me feel sketchy. The trail itself was pretty nice. We were only able to bike about 3/4 of a mile back though. All that rain brought the river up and it completely blocked us from going any further. Will give it another try in a few weeks and see if it's any different.

Nice trail, a bit more walker than others in the area but parts are still unmowed. Watch out for spiders and webs. The best scenery is before you begin the trail at the boat slip. If you watch carefully, you can see a large concrete drainage dam. It's kinda neat to walk on.
