We liked this trail - it had some great terrain. Rated 3 stars because worth the stop but would not need to do again.

The water is up and wildflowers were amazing for west Texas. The trail itself has grown over from lack of use.

One mile out, one back. Fairly level, but rocky in places. Could be better marked in a few areas. Picturesque stops overlooking the lake. Recemt rains have refilled the basin. Nice morning hike.

This State Park is a very nice place to camp, picnic, or enjoy water sports. The only problem is, after some eight years of drought in West Texas, the lake is very low. The fishing docks are not in enough water to fish, and the boat launch does not even get to the waters' edge.
Several years ago, when the lake level was higher, this place was crowded. There was only one travel trailer in the whole park, which has over 100 spaces.
