Awesome tarantula find on the way in!

Short trail with a beautiful view at the beginning, overlooking a bridge and waterway. Rocky terrain. There were a lot of broken bottles so watch your step. Saw a tarantula along the way which was definitely awesome.

Scenic views were awesome all along the trail yet out and back was only drawback yet might have had other options back yet wasn’t sure without signage - definitely will be back and definitely place to take visitors to atx

Easy hike/scramble with great views.

Pleasant hike with great views! I was worried about my fear of heights, but you never have to go too close to the edge. If you’re really really afraid of heights though it might not be a good fit because parts of the trail are along a flat part of a steep grade. No danger of falling all the way down to the river but could fall down a bit if you fell the right way

great to sit at the edge and just be present and have conversation. lost track of time and before I knew it, it was 5pm when I reached the bottom.

nice open trail

Great photo opportunities. Gets harder the further you go, so if you feel like taking it easy and seeing some great sights you can go for a short version.

Parking is easy to spot, on the north-west side of the road, just north of the bridge. There are no restrooms, benches, water fountains, etc but there is a garbage can which, well, is usually very full and thus not collecting all the trash. But as for the trail itself- Immediately you climb lots of feet- really steep, high steps, slick rocks, loose rocks to slip on, etc. But this somewhat treacherous climb must be worth it, because lots and lots of people come here everyday. You'll see people in wedding dresses, formal attire, graduation gowns, etc. with photographers in tow, some with rather expensive looking equipment, because the view is spectacular. But then you hit the fence. After the climb, you see the view. After the view, go west and you'll shortly come to a fence that's cut. Well, supposedly, it's not private property, you're not trespassing, etc. when you go through this fence. There are signs elsewhere saying "no trespassing" but here, well, I guess the gate people didn't want to climb or something. After the gate, the trail goes for a ways. Plenty of scenic views; some trails to the north that go into the forest, but quickly hit the no trespassing fence; and plenty of trails to the south but, of course, they're on the edge of the cliff overlooking the river, so they're rather precarious. Looking for some scrambling or some danger? Try and hike/climb down to the river without sliding. Have kids, or just want a nice hike? Stay on the main trail, and all should be well until about the last quarter mile, where it gets a bit "woods", the trail is a little hard to see, but the loop at the end is short and you're headed back to the bridge.

Very pretty view as you walk above and along the water. It is Rocky climbing up at first but quickly becomes even and easy from there. There are a few areas with a trash bag set out that are more than overflowing with water bottles/trash, but other than that a very nice, simple trail.

Easy elementary kid and up hike. A climb to the top at the beginning. Some drop offs so people who are afraid of heights may not like parts.

Not really moderate... easy trail, not really sure where it really ends though....I followed the all trails guide, but it definitely continues past where the end is listed. Nice views, but the bridge is the main attraction of the hike and to get up to the view point is more of a short climb than an actual hike.

Great views, but the trail going back gets pretty precarious at the very end. You're right on the edge of a dropoff - not advised for anyone unable to be extra sure with the footing. Also, you pass through a hole in a chain link fence, so we felt like we were trespassing. Also, a-holes have spraypainted lots of rocks and trees on the trail. What the hell, man? Overall, it's nice, but not a favorite.
