Getting There

A short 1.25 mile long pump track is the perfect place for new mountain bikers or BMX'ers to develop their skills or for more advanced riders to challenge themselves on the multiple TTF's (technical trail features). An easy ride that's made fun with a few drop-offs, banked curves, and lots of shade. A nice, flowing trail.

Trail is one way, but finding it as a first timer is kinda tricky. once you pull into the main entrance for sugarland memorial park, you come to a roundabout, you want to make a left (but have to go around the traffic circle) towards the dog park. Go down the gravel road and park in the parking lot, get geared up, ride the gravel walking path toward the right and go around the field to the opposite side away from the parking lot to find the entrance. Trail flow is to the right. I recommend riding the loop once before hitting anything as the landings have varied from time to time as i have been there.

It’s a lot shorter than it used to be due to so much river erosion but it’s still a nice ride. The normal loop is about 0.9 miles and is easy enough for my 6 year old to make it around on his cheap-o bike with no front (or rear) suspension. There are some optional features to spice things up, including one nice little drop in. A good few walkers due to how nicely shaded the trail is so just keep an eye out. Conditions as of 11 June is pretty good. Dry and well packed.

Great for beginners, some tech stuff available to help those looking for a little more. Very kid friendly, shaded well, some trails have been re routed or changed due to Hurricane Harvey but very well taken care of! Love having this little gem so close to home.

Well kept and enjoyable trail. Our favorite portion is the wooded section that doubles as a bike trail - shaded but open enough for breezes with berries along the way. The main loops are nice but offer little shade.

I really love this trail! There are two sort of big loops that are connected to each other and easy to identify. They are both beautifully maintained gravel trails. Off to the side of one of the loops is a wooded area with a trail meant for biking. There are small ramps and jumps and all kinds of fun features to ride a bike over. I was on foot and found the hills built along the path to be quite refreshing and fun compared to the usually flat trails in Houston. There are some short offshoots that lead you to the river with gorgeous views. I really enjoy my time out here!

Part of the trail has been closed due to the river washing it away. Still a good trail for those wanting a quick hike with the family.

Awesome trail for a short trail run, I lapped it twice just because it was so short but it has a bunch of quick ups and downs for really getting a good workout in. I think the trail is primarily for mountain biking but it was still fun! The trail is really well kept.

The trail head has moved down the path for runners on the left. Time of year depends on the amount of water on the path.

No longer closed, but the entrance has been moved. During Hurricane Harvey, a portion of the trail and much of the entrance were washed-out. The trail has been rerouted, the mountain bike obstacles repaired, and the entrance moved further from the river. Overall a very enjoyable trail.

Loop around man made lake then mountain bike trails through slightly forested area. Nice walk around dog parks and path is good for feet. Not challenging at all- just walking flat

I Love this trail. I live close to it and is a great quick morning session. Unfortunately, it's still closed due to flooding of the Brazos. I guess I'll just do the boring trail today which is part of the park "Sugar Land Memorial Park.

Love the trail and it's honestly one of my favorites for mountain biking and honing skills. Completely swamped though from the rain and the Brazos rising, so it'll be a while before it's well enough to use. I cannot wait for this trail to reopen!! (It's close to home for me, and driving up to Memorial or the Anthills isn't fun if you want a quick ride haha)

Trail in good condition; Lots of fun!! Nice dips and turns. Went after yesterday's rain and was really 'muddy' in the lower parts of the trail.
