Good starter trail, super easy and lightly trafficked. found the route a little confusing but enjoyed a quick afternoon walk.

The paved portion of the trail looks new and is in good condition. The trail wraps around the edge of Lake Lewisville and several stub outs lead directly to the water. Fairly quiet. I think we were the only ones out there on a Friday afternoon. Not a long trail by any means. Pretty view, good for families.

Was a really nice trail, but due to the recent rains the lake was super full so part of the loop was flooded.

This trail is a perfect mix of concrete and crushed granite. We went on a Saturday afternoon, while the park and beach were busy, the trail only had a handful of people on it. Another post had mentioned they had to pay a fee on the weekend, but that was not the case for us. We took the concrete trail one direction until we hit a point where the trail was underwater due to the lake being very full. We turned back and went the opposite way around, which took us to a granite path, and we were able to follow that trail to the end, and was worth the trip. The wildflowers on this trail are worth the adventure, they were absolutely beautiful! There were some detours off the trail which would take you down to the lakefront and we would let our dogs in the water, which they loved. It was an enjoyable hike with a great mix of sunny and shady. I’m looking forward to make it it back to this trail when the lake is alittle lower to take the concrete trail the whole way.

I loved this! There is a “there and back” portion that is gravel so it’s easy to navigate, then on your way back just continue to the paved path.

Be aware there is a $10 fee to park on the weekends.
