Was hoping for easier water access at the back end of the trail for the pup to cool off. Decent trail otherwise but nothing spectacular.

It’s burr season, don’t wear good tights. Other than that it had beautiful views and perfect amount of sun to shade ratio.

Great trail, nicely maintained. Very scenic.

Great trail! Well maintained but narrow at points with tall grass, so I was glad I wasn’t wearing shorts. The wildflowers are in full bloom and there were many butterflies to go with them. If you enjoy birding, I absolutely recommend continuing on to the bird blind at the end of the trail which is a lovely glass-windowed building with a small garden area and various bird feeders.

Love the bird watch at the end of the trail... also love the fact you can break at a waterfall and jump in if you want

A gorgeous trail with waterfalls and scenic views. A perfect time of year to hike it, as the bluebonnets were in bloom. Rocky at times, but just have to keep your eyes on the trail. A Subway sandwich tastes great afterwards!

Beautiful day to hike with the grandson! Bluebonnets in bloom as well as a number of other gorgeous little flowers. Lots of birding opportunities, too. Trail is at times steep & rocky, but navigable with care.

literaly just finished this trail with my dog. Its well marked and the trail is well made but if you're traveling with a small dog like i am the brush has a lot of spiky seeds and hot rocks. i had to carry my dog a lot of the way. there are some shady areas and a good spot to dip your feet in every 0.5 miles or so, but still very hot. i had to be careful to give my dog plenty of water and keep him as wet as I could. i bet it would be beautiful in the fall. will be coming back.

Nice Hike to take one of the dogs for a hike - fairly easy .. some rocky parts. I would not want to hike this in the summer heat

So pretty! I got on this trail accidentally by taking a wrong turn but I’m so glad I did! I went alone and never felt unsafe.

Great trail. Good amount of shade. Can get off the trail and cross the lake on boulders. Pretty cool. Take a break and go swimming or splash in the water. Beautiful wildflowers everywhere.

This was a beautiful hike with some wonderful views of the lake. There were a few, somewhat, steep parts. Nothing my 6 year old couldn’t handle though.
