This is a 30 mile loop with very little elevation gain that is best used for road biking. The best feature of this trail is a smooth, flat 8 mile straight-away that begins when you turn south off of Montana Ave onto Desert Meadows Drive. Begin the trail anywhere along Montana Ave and travel east towards the intersection of Montana Ave and Joe Battle Hwy. Move past Joe Battle for about 5 miles to the intersection of Montana Ave and Desert Meadows Drive. Turn right (South) and follow to a T-intersection. Turn left and then take a right onto N. Ascencion Street. Follow for 8 mies until your reach Horizon City. Turn right on Horizon Blvd. You can vary the route back by hand railing Joe Battle Hwy.
