Hermann Park Trail is a 1.4 mile loop trail located near Houston, Texas that features a lake and is good for all skill levels. The trail offers a number of activity options and is accessible year-round. Dogs are also able to use this trail but must be kept on leash.
The 445-acre urban Hermann Park has something for just about everyone. It encompasses a challenging 18-hole public golf course, a Japanese Garden, the 55-acre Houston Zoo and the Houston Museum of Natural Science. You can rent a pedal boat, ride the Hermann Park Railroad and take kids to the wheelchair-accessible playground. Accessibility: The trail surface is paved or dirt and typically at least six feet wide. The grade is gentle (estimated 1% or less) except for a steep section up to 8% at about 0.9 miles. The playground is considered wheelchair-accessible as well.
The summer heat & humidity breed insects, so wear bug spray and beware standing water, the breeding ground for mosquitoes. Hermann Park is near Montrose and the Museum District. There is free parking in front of the Houston Zoo, near Miller Outdoor Theatre, and at the golf course. The park is open 6am to 11pm, although each attraction within the park has its own hours.

Visiting from out of town, really enjoyed the trails and the Japanese Garden!
This is a very busy area. It is most definitely the cleanest park trail I've been on to date.
Very fun night biking! Great views and also took a stroll through Rice University!
