Really enjoyed this hike. Make sure to read the reviews for directions because the trail is not clearly marked. Great views of Alpine and surrounding area.

Totally worth the 80 minutes it took us to find the “Desk!” Just as we’re about to quit, we bumped into a local and he tells us that we we’re only five minutes away. First off, park to the left of the Industrial Technology building (or follow the address link provided here - spot on). The trail starts right off the parking lot. The trail forks off but make sure to go right, I repeat go right! We went left, that was a mistake. The trail is moderately steep and there is a lot of loose rocks, there are no trail markers or hints which makes this place difficult to find. Once you have gone upward on the right trail, you’ll hike for about 20 to 30 minutes depending on your rest time. You’ll hit a large area of rocks, continue on the trail to the left side (avoid the small water trail - if you’re heading downward, turn back, you’ve gone the wrong way). After you pass the large rocks (see photos) you’re about 7 minutes away from the desk. Continue on until you hit the tree full of bikes, once you see the bikes, a few more steps and you’ve made it. Don’t forget to sign your name and enjoy the beautiful view! Check out my photos for a visual direction. Take enough water!
