Now, it’s one of my fave spots to walk/hike with my dog! Beautiful & good maintenance. Scent of cedar trees, thick vegetation, waterfalls, mostly shaded red dirt/primitive trails, a place to sit for birdwatching & taking pics of birds & squirrels, creeks, lake, and what else?! LOL. Leash on dog is a must. I don’t see many bicyclists, which is a good thing! Highly recommend to arrive at the parking lot earlier in the am or it’ll be full. A small parking lot. Ya won’t regret to come.

Beautiful, well-maintained trail that's easy to navigate. The bird watching spot was such a treat! It was great for a break and we thoroughly enjoyed having the bird reference guide. While hanging out by the water, we enjoyed the company of many ducks... they were very friendly. We were delighted by all the foliage and wildflowers. We'll definitely be back!

Great trail! There are so many different trails you can take off the main route. Perfect for mountain bikers and runners so it is very versatile. beautiful waterfalls with several spots to take a break. This is one of the most interesting greenbelt trails I’ve been on. Even had a bird watch area! Visit the Hurst Hollow overlook. You won’t regret it! Hopefully the water below is full when you do.

Super loop

Easy trail that’s heavily shaded with several water spigots and benches along the way. There are many small short side trails you can meander that never take you to far away from the main route

walk was beautiful. there were A LOT of people especially for 10am on a Thursday so if you're looking for a little more privacy this might not be the place for you. a lot of the creeks are dried up but it hasn't rained properly in a while either.

Great trail for families with kids/strollers or anyone. Very flat nice paved rock path most of the way. Features several small waterfalls and is the typical Cen-tex landscape. Saw two deer on our walk yesterday which was awesome for my kids!

Great trail with wildlife viewing, lots of people running, walking, dogs. Mostly shaded, great waterfall to sit and explore, as well as water along the trail. Parts back onto private homes, great hike for almost anytime of day

Favorite trail, mainly because it right down the street from me. Most porous don’t know, BUT main trail has a couple of deep primitive trails. Lots of loop around a bit worth getting lost in there. If you complete all connecting trails from the main Hamilton greenbelt, you can log in a solid 5 and a half miles

Nice out and back trail along the water. Very wide and well maintained with gravel trail for the vast majority of the hike. Trailhead has nice parking, bathrooms, and water. Some great resting spots by small waterfalls divide the trail nicely for breaks or snacks with children. Many people had dogs and all were leashed and well-behaved.

Very easy trail with gorgeous views! We loved it!

I liked this trail very much. It is a very easy trail, not what i would consider a “primitive” trail, which is my preference. The city did a great job on this trail! I liked it because the entire trail was shaded. I did not like that the trails were not marked very well and just couldn’t tell which trail you were on or was about to get onto.

Really pretty, not crowded. Easy hike and well-maintained trail.

At the beginning the trail splits up into a crushed gravel walking trail and a natural surface semi rugged trail. Both trails virtually run parallel with each other. A bird watching blind, a few waterfalls and wildlife make this a relaxing hike

This is an easy trail with some very pretty water features and creek access. There are great offshoots that make it a little more exciting!

This is a great trail, but many pictures and reviews are obviously about Hamilton Pool, and not the greenbelt.

This location is actually called "Hamilton Greenbelt" not "Hamilton Pool". Hamilton Pool is also very nice but it is a different hike (not this one). pros * almost completely canopied with trees so plenty of shade even at peak sun time * there is both easy pressed gravel road trail and scramby single track to choose from * the main trail head at Lohman's crossing has a very nice parking lot, new bathrooms, and free cold purified water dispenser to fill up your hydration container * if you choose the single track routes you'll almost always have the hike entirely to yourself * very well kept and marked trails * its free * its never crowded * people who live around and frequent this greenbelt are friendly and respectful cons * none really about routes * if you stick to the easy pressed gravel trails there's only about 4 to 5 miles of options * if you go onto the single track trails you'll have about 7 or 8 miles of options to play with

Gorgeous place to visit. One thing to remember to make a reservation and keep in mind that swimming is not always allowed due to bacteria. We enjoyed just being there, it was terrific!

If you get there easy the wait isn't too bad and the view is amazing. The park is regulated to have a relatively small amount of people. Great for photography.
