Greer island was super easy. The rest of the trail was pretty moderate. Didn’t feel there too much to see, but did feel like a good trek. Some steps but nothing crazy.

$6 to enter. Started at Greer island and made our way to canyon ridge trail up until the rest-a-while stop. Passed the 1 1/4 marker and ascended back up to the next clearing. Had to turn around because we were within 50 yards of a large female wild hog. Too dangerous to go any further.

This trail provides a great workout! A lot of ups and downs. Went Friday at 11am and only saw 3 people. Would not recommend for young kids as there are some narrow and steep drop offs. Great views and fun landmarks along the way.

Fort Worth Nature Center has beautiful trails with different levels. I hiked from Canyon Ridge Trail to Greer Island then back.

You have to reserve a ticket before entering. We were able to circle around, call their number, reserve two tickets, pay over the phone and reenter. You must wear a mask at the gate. Call 817-329-7410 to register and reserve or go to www.fwnaturecenter.org

Very nice trail close to DFW. Well maintained with mostly rocky terrain. Thursday morning I was the only person on the trail for 3 hours. I will give this trail another go in the future!

HikingFeeGreat!

First trail to hike and it was so much fun! Just challenging enough to make it worth the drive from the mid-cities. Lots of bugs at the beginning of the trail (wasps mostly). The trail was marked clearly and there were mile markers at every 1/4 mile. Pack lots of water and sunscreen!

Awesome trail has good amount of elevation for Texas trails. It is scenic, well marked and maintained. Will definitely go back and checkout more trails and paddling.

Great trail with nice views. Masks are required at the gate, and there is a $5 per person entry fee. You also have to make a reservation to go in, but that can be done easily on the website or through the # they give you when you get there. The park closes at 5 and will lock you out, so plan accordingly. Would be a lot nicer without all the restrictions and hassle.

City owned park requiring masks be worn outside! No support for veterans disabled or not and doesn’t accept credit cards. This place used to be a wonderful FREE community investment but now is plainly sucking the community dry with taxes AND fees.

Great moderate trail! Lots of small and medium inclines make it a great workout! Trail is kind of a single-lane trench in most places. Extremely well marked and maintained. However, There is a lot of broken glass at trailheads and the little old stone structures along the trail. Watch your pup’s paws on the broken glass at those overlooks!
