A good cardio hike. Plenty of hills and spots to catch you breath. And some fun trails to bring a bike to. Well worth the trip.

nice hike. it was a bit overgrown in some areas. the lake is very nice. recommend wearing a hat and hiking boots. the hike may be much nicer in the fall or spring. 5th of July was nice because the park was pretty much empty, but it sure was toasty.

Nice hiking. some inclines. Hard to rate too high when I've been to more picturesque places. good for local hiking but I like glen rose and Waco better.

Very Rocky but lots of nice views along the way. One of the prettier day hikes I've done in Texas. The few miles on the nature trail were my favorite.

Great experience! Went with a group of friends & there was more than enough hiking for us to spend more than a day doing!

Not a trail for small children at all. No markings on most trails so pay attention. The outer loop is along a fence line and that gives simple bearings. The map at the Park office is large and gives some Topo information. Pleasant people good walk.

Starts off sorta slow but gets really fun about 3 miles in and the spillway area is really fun to climb
