Love this hike and have done it several times. The views are great; so take a good camera for photos. Go early in the day before the temperature gets too hot and before too many people are scrambling up the rock. Also take lots of water with you.

The hike is straight forward. Straight up the Rock. The views are amazing. Start early. Their is no shade. Fun for the whole family. From the Summit trail we cut across to the Echo Canyon trail to Moss Lake and came back on Turkey Canyon trail. Make sure you pick up a park map. The connecting trails can get a little confusing.

Great views from up top but the only thing you can't see from the top of Enchanted rock, is enchanted rock.

highly trafficked. if you have the time, I'd recommend "off-roading" it to explore the rest of the park...the summit is not a "must"

I’ve done this trail, maybe a half a dozen times. It’s difficult, but rewarding at the top. Nice breeze and the caves are amazing! It takes about an hour to go all the way through, but killer!

Definitely a track up! I would say it’s on the more difficult side of moderate but totally worth it! Breathtaking.

I would recommend getting to enchanted rock early in the day (buy a $7 per adult hiking permit online a couple days in advance as it fills up) and hike the summit first when your legs are fresh and the sun isn’t as intense on the open expanse of granite. Then hike the other trails where there is more shade and the incline isn’t as steep. Beautiful views all around, ponds, streams, a little wildlife (we saw birds and mice) and moderately challenging terrain. You can easily spend the entire day out here. Pack a lunch and water. There are restrooms at trailheads and a water filling station at the base of the summit. Kona ice was there selling drinks and treats and they accept cards.

A short but beautiful hike in the middle of Texas. I did this on Valentine's Day and proposed on the Summit. As perfect as you can get if you are with the right person!

Always good to get there early and beat the crowds. It was 40 degrees with a pretty tough wind chill at the top but gorgeous day. I did a couple other trails to make my hiking about 4.5 hrs, the loop, base trail and turkey trail.

Walkin on some trail but mostly on the stone itself. So lots of room for everyone. Very busy being a holiday. Great views. All the up and on top. Windy and 50 degrees and very cloudy January 1st. Loved it took me an hour round trip and photo visit.

Great way to get the heart rate up. Enjoyed the views, then added the Loop trail (which I recommend) and then when to the top again. Fantastic Day!

We started early and zigzagged our way up, stopping often to take pictures. It’s remarkable how much plant life survives in miniature on that giant piece of granite. 4’ oak trees with 8” diameter trunks and roots as big as my arm that possibly date back to when this was still frontier along with 5’ sotol and hand sized prickly pear. I took about 100 pictures and could have shot that many more had it not started raining. It’s a steep climb but I’d do it weekly if I could.
