Elm Lake Loop Trail is a 1.7 mile heavily trafficked loop trail located near Damon, Texas that offers the chance to see wildlife and is good for all skill levels. The trail offers a number of activity options and is best used from January until January. Dogs are also able to use this trail but must be kept on leash.

Great Wide trail that can handle lots of people so now crowding. This loop circles Elm Lake inside Brazos Bend State Park $7 entry fee at gate or free with Texas state parks pass. Tons of wildlife to see. First trip gave us 53 Alligators and countless breeds of birds.

Lots of birds and reptiles.
The trail is in good shape, covered with crushed limestone. A viewing platform is by the parking lot. A picnic area and restrooms are also there. Lots of other hiking trails are in the park.
Easy hike, lots of gators
Fun and tons of Alligators! Went on the Elm Lake trail to the Spillway trail then up the observation tower then back down the Spillway trail ending on the Elm Lake trail again. That totaled out to about 2.5 miles give or take.
