Lot of fun! Looking forward to running the longer trail here as soon as I develop stamina for a run that long. Presence of facilities and potable water very nice. Trail today uncrowded but with enough friendly hikers to make run even more enjoyable. Trailmarking adequate but could be a little better.

Beautiful day, so trail was a bit congested. Second time hiking here and second time to see deer. Will return when vegetation greener.

This is a great trail within a short driving distance for those living in Fort Worth. I used to love hiking this trail around Thanksgiving when the air was cool and you could get just a bit of fall color from the trees. Slight elevation gains from the hills which is good for the area and nice views of the lake and surrounding countryside.

This short loop was more technical than I expected. I went counter-clockwise, and love the steep climbs. It's a fun warm-up for the other loop.

Would recommend this trail for runners wanting to test the waters before trying the larger 7 mile route or combining the two as I've done before.

Very beautiful and scenic trails! And, nice to have portable potties and water stations along the routes.

Pleasant walk/hike with kids 8, 6, 4. Only the 4 yo groaned a little toward the end of this 2.9 mile trek. Not sure why this is rated as “moderate.” Saw several species of birds and even a foraging doe. Will do it again in Spring or Fall.

Not particularly well marked. Easy to run and quite enjoyable with only a couple steep bits. Not much for scenery, but a nice escape from the usual.

Amazing. Hard to believe this is in DFW. Felt like hill country.

Really enjoyed this trail. There are a couple of places to rest along the trail on strategically placed benches. Took my 8 yr old daughter and we both loved the scenery.

Not a lot of people during the week. Great trails, make sure you don't go after rain, it could eat muddy.
