RunningGreat!

The trail should be called Coolen Trail :) It is well-shaded in this Houston heat, lots of places to stop, throw out trash, restrooms, parking spots and sidetracks to other trails. The small creeks probably look more beautiful when it is not a dry season. The trail is wide enough for social distancing, but too many bikers on the trail like on George Bush Park trail.

Running

This was my first time out here. Plenty of shade for a run in the Houston summer. The pavement is a bit rocky at points but nothing unmanageable. I even saw a few deer out past Barker Cypress! All in all a good trail just out of town.

Such a great trail to ride during the hot Houston summers. All the trees shade the trail very well and help keep it cool.

Loved the trail! Cracked pavement made the biking more uncomfortable than needed, but still overall great.

Nice paved path. Passes a small cemetery and crosses over to another park. Lots of playgrounds and restrooms. Not all restrooms are open. We parked at Cullen Park. Great path but boring. Tricky to navigate, wish I had this app working at the time. Once you find the trail you won’t get lost.

Hiking

Walked this trail on June 14, 2018. It's about 60% shaded which is much needed in Houston. The trail is asphalt and also used as a bike trail. This was a Thursday so not crowded. I would think on the weekends and holidays it would be well used with cyclists so watch out.

Great little trail if you live in Houston. Almost feels like you are outside the city. Very easy paved pathway. Walking, biking, bird watching. There is an 1800 cemetery, small airport, and park midway between Bear Creek and Cullen. Trailhead is at Hwy 6 and Patterson.

I am Dara. My dad and mom took me to walk the nature trails of Armand Bayou in Pasadena, TX. If you love nature walks, then Armand Bayou trails are for you. All types of birds and wildlife can be seen including alligators. I had so much fun!!!

Walking

It's a long, paved trail without a lot of road crossings. Good for walking, rollerblading, biking with mt or road tires. It's not super exciting, but it's a nice path, especially for being close by in the city.

I hiked the trail once and found it to be an easy hike. It is mostly coved with nice trees which makes it pleasant in sunny day.
