Copperfield Nature Trail is a 3.5 mile moderately trafficked out and back trail located near Austin, Texas that features a river and is good for all skill levels. The trail is primarily used for hiking, walking, nature trips, and bird watching and is accessible year-round. Dogs are also able to use this trail but must be kept on leash.
Decent enough. Some fun wee mounds but the half by the playground is full of garbage, edges a neighborhood and sounds of traffic. Must cross a busy road to get to other side where it’s more nature-y but still so much litter. Someone’s car window was smashed (weekday am) so I parked elsewhere but seems to encapsulate how this trail felt.
Went on a Sunday morning and there was barely anyone there! We took our 2.5 year old and he loved seeing the ducks in the ponds and listening to the birds. Ther were a couple spots we had to help him across but he could walk most of it on his own. There is a playground at the front of the trail that is really nice too!
It was a nice workout with pretty views. However, there was a lot of traffic.
Easy trail, enjoyed the water nearby. Dog poop and some trash, but overall a nice experience.
Nice trail I’ve never done. Lots of road noise and backyards. Pretty easy and surprisingly nice views for the weird location.
Trail was great! Just the right about of challenging. I forgot to stop my recording so it includes some of my driving
Overall, a pleasant moderately used trail. Plenty of birds and ponds. If trail running, beware of the roots.
