Colony Shoreline Trail is a 6.9 mile moderately trafficked out and back trail located near The Colony, Texas that features a lake and is good for all skill levels. The trail is primarily used for hiking, walking, nature trips, and mountain biking. Dogs are also able to use this trail but must be kept on leash.

September 23, 2020Nice, clean trail. Pushing a stroller is doable though the granite makes it a bit of a workout. Very little shade. Absolutely no one was wearing or carrying a mask but at least the trails are wide enough to distance from others.

August 15, 2020Really pretty trail along Lake Lewisville shoreline. Very little shade, however. Bring lots of water for you and your pups! Bonus...dogs (or humans!) can take a dip along the way! LOADS of bikers, so be aware of surroundings, as well.
August 8, 2020Beautiful easy gravel trail! Some have commented about it being behind houses, but I actually love that! The houses back up to the lake and are beautiful. You could stop and take a dip in the lake if you wanted to. Don't go in the heat of the day though because it gets HOT.

August 1, 2020This trail was way more developed than I expected. Great views of the lake but you are in someone backyard the whole way. So get used to getting barked at by dogs. Trail is all paved or crushed granite. This is best for just a walk or casual bike ride. Since it’s so developed, didn’t see any wildlife other than some geese and ducks. 99% of it has no trees, so no shade. And if you go in the morning, bring sunshades because you are facing the sun on the way out. It’s clean, nice view, great walk with the dog. Was looking for more of a hike, but it was enjoyable somewhat.
July 26, 2020It was an easy trail to walk. Best for early mornings since there's little to no shade along the way. You get a nice view of the lake through most of the way. Walked at 8:30am and it was fairly busy, a lot of bikers.
June 24, 2020very sunny. some muddy patches, but navigable (June 24). would be much easier with offroad tires. sandy gravel makes it a good workout for bicyclists. great lake views. I'll come back to walk it in early morning and for when I want a lot if resistance in the bike.

May 10, 2020Easy trail for anyone willing to go out and move lol. The views were very nice and you get to the lake shore half way in, where you can rest and keep going. Would recommend to anyone. And it’s not muddy anymore btw

April 25, 2020Nice easy hike. Beautiful scenery. My only negative comment would be to people that have dogs “ please pick up the poop and don’t leave it in the middle of the trail!” Had to walk around quite a bit of it,
