While this is mainly a sports park, there are a couple of nice playgrounds for the kids and pavilions for family gatherings. Looks to be a fairly decent frisbee golf area as long as it hasn’t rained in a week or so There is a very nice area to fish, I observed but didn’t actually fish. I was a bus disappointed I. The “hiking” offered, over half of the walk was in the road, while the other half was a nice stroll along the canal and around the pond. Not bad, but there were signs of older trails crossing bridges long ago closed. Over all, if you are in the area, nice little place to get some fresh air

The best thing was discovering a pretty park that I’ve driven by hundreds of times in my life and never realized it was there. Part of the walk is along the pond and a canal and is nice. The rest is basically just a walk around the perimeter of the park. Nothing too exciting, but it’s pleasant enough.

Nice park and trails! Really would like to see the trails that are no longer accessible due to the old bridges being shut down. Beautiful area!

Bugs

Stay on the main trail! I took one of the small off chutes and was chased back to main trail by wasps.

Love this quick, easy trail and so do our pups! Wish the off trail paths with the bridges would be restored!

Great, easy beginner’s trail for an easy stroll through nature. Almost all the old pathways are blocked off because the wooden bridges are all blocked off, but the main trail is easy. Great casual stroll when you need a bit of outdoors time.

Easy little walk. Family friendly for all ages. Just nice to stretch your legs and maybe see some wildlife depending on the time of year.

This was an enjoyable hike. Would have liked to seen signs to Trail Head, but using Alltrails I was able to locate it with ease. This was better than walking in the stadium in circles.

First to Review

This trail circles around a recreational park with delightful views of shallow water/marsh area. Great for fishing, hiking, biking, birding, and 18 par disk golf. The weather has been rainy so a few areas song the outside trail had muddy parts and a lot of the inner trails were covered with water. There are alligator warning signs all arrive the water, shopping with informational tablets for flora and fauna. Very quiet and peaceful hike. Low elevation and pretty accessible.
