Fun! Explored and tried to map out the trails since many outcropping aren’t listed or are a little off!
Fun trails to run. Rained the night before so some areas flooded , but manageable to run if you don’t mind wet shoes. Saw some wildlife, but no wild hogs the signs warned about. I definitely plan to make this a more regular route. The only issue I had was the need to keep my phone up with the map of the trails because nothing was marked and there were a whole lot of off-shoots that weren’t on the map at all! However, it just made for more interesting exploring. Will have to make sure I go down them all and compile my own complete trail map! Oh, and March 2021... the boardwalk/bridge is still closed!
Really likes these trails. Very spacious, clean, pretty, not a lot of trash, the lake was nice, abundant wildlife, hog tracks.. room for walking, jogging, bikes, tons of swings and park benches, wide open spaces, dog friendly.. def a top 3 in this area.
My wife and I walked the trails and found them to be well marked, and clean. There was plenty of places for our two dogs play and explore. The portable potties were strategically placed , and clean. The playground for small children looked safe and there was plenty of picnic tables throughout the park. It was February and even with the temperature around 70 there were very few people on the trails. The walk was nice and we will be back.
There was a trail throughout the walk. We saw birds and deer feeding during low tide.
