Hiked a couple of hours today, mostly uphill. It was beautiful though, and everything is getting green and will be in full bloom soon! I hiked the Bluebonnet, Fossil Valley, and Escarpment trails (all around cattail pond). A little over 4 miles, equal to 18 flights of stairs, and 12K steps. So empowering!

Did a solid 5.5+ miles on the outer loop trail today, surprisingly moderate challenge given the location, bring your knees!

This is the most heavily-trafficked trail at Cedar Ridge. We typically branch off this trail onto Cedar Brake when it is too crowded. That said, the half mile after the pond is rather strenuous, making it worth the effort.

Nice views. Mostly clear paths. Busy weekend visitors.

Decent hike, but I wouldn't consider it "moderate". It was an easy hike (and I'm 6 months pregnant) with nice views, make sure to bring insect repellent.

Nice easy/moderate hike. We went on a Sunday, and it was very busy. Get there early to avoid driving around in circles trying to find a parking spot. We will go again during the week to see if it is slower. Our dog loved the hike, too.

Wonderful getaway from the city. Spurts of relatively steep sections but overall just an enjoyable option just 30 minutes from downtown.

Beautiful views along the way. Quiet and serene. Love hiking down there.

Nice trail. Very clean and well marked. Also quite a bit of shade which helps in this Texas heat.

One mile to the pond, one mile back! Such a fun trail! Tons of things to see! Beautiful views!

This is definitely not a hard trail at all. High side of easy / low side of moderate at best. A good hike especially when combined with adjacent trails.

Tied with Cedar Brake for my favorite trail in Texas so far. Challenging trail with good elevation. If your children cannot clear 2 ft. obstacles it's probably best to skip this one.

A nice respite from the busy city life. Crowded on the weekends.

Decent trail but not for a heavy workout

Trail was awesome and worth it, I wasn't aware it was difficult and brought small children and a stroller but we made it. Looking forward to this trail again soon

Good trail plenty of elevation changes but not sure I'd rate it a "Difficult".
