Lake Corpus Christi State Park put in a .25 mi connector trail fro Longhorn to Catfish loop bringing the total to 2.5 miles of trails out and back from the Conservation Corp pavilion. It is a beautiful peaceful jaunt through the south Texas brush! There is lots of birds, deers, armadillos, and I have seen bobcat on the trail.
Nice trail if you're already camping here, but I wouldn't recommend going out of your way to hike it.
A simple loop through the brush. As others have said, more ants than I have ever seen on a trail.
Nice easy trail. Tons of fire ants along the trail so be careful when you pause.
