Bird trail is steep but halfway through you are rewarded with a visit to a cave. Bridges trail offers many scenic views and photo opportunities especially at Painted Rock. Garner State Park has multiple trails that loop and connect to other trails. Some signs are posted throughout the trails in attempt to keep people on the correct trail, but it is easy to miss a trail especially when at the summit since six or more trails meet there.

I took Bird Trail on the way up to the summit and it was steep and challenging. White Rock Cave was a great surprise. I took Bridges Trail on the way down. Bridges Trail is very rocky with large rock mixed with small pebbles. Wear proper hiking shoes with good traction to avoid slipping.
