Directions from Mexia, TX: Travel 7 miles south or 6 miles north of Groesbeck on State Highway 14. The entrance is on Park Road 28

Nice and secluded. Didn’t see another hiker despite being there the Sunday before Thanksgiving. The trail map you receive at the state park office says there is a nice scenic overlook; you should know that the overlook is roughly 2 miles in.

You will probably see a lot of ground that looks disturbed, as if somebody has tilled it. That's actually where wild hogs have been digging for food. There must be a lot of them in the area.

Overall a nice hike.
