Beautiful weather for an enjoyable hike. Trail is part dirt and part crushed granite. Most of the trail is in the shade. A little bit of trash in the bayou, but not too bad.

Walking

Great trail. Did the whole 5 miles with my dog. Half of it was a dirt path by the creek, the other half was a gravelly path, both of which had plenty of shade cover. Only complaint is that there wasn’t any place to cross over the creek other than the big bridge at the beginning - I had to double back a couple of times to get back to my car. All in all, a nice park to get outside and away from it all.

One fairly steep spot, but otherwise nice.

HikingGreat!

This trail is a great hideaway from the fast past life of the city. We loved it. We saw all sorts of wildlife..deer, birds, snakes and even possums.

HikingFee

We were told it’s a $6 charge to access the trail (not a parking fee, this was to access the trail) and that no jogging/running is allowed.

HikingGreat!

Trail was in good condition, but could need some clean up in certain areas , as unfortunately some user of the trail don’t take their trash with them. I went on a weekday, early afternoon so trail was not super busy. But got more crowed on the way back. Overall a very easy (would not even call it a hike)

The trail is relaxing, some trash tends to flow in after storms. However I noticed alot of fishing belly up today. It's very strange, I come here often and this is my first time seeing so many fish belly up. Something in the bayou I'm assuming sadly
